SUMMARY
Responsible for the setup and breakdown of event/banquet space in accordance to Event Details (BEO). In addition, must maintain the cleanliness of event space and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Service
- Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the operation
- Personally, demonstrates a commitment to guest service in responding promptly to guests’ needs
- Committed to making every guest is satisfied
- Meets or exceeds guest satisfaction measures
- Ensures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service
- Implements and practices guest service initiatives and performs to Hotel Standards
Event/Banquet Setup Staff
- Learn and execute ALL event setups for both business and social events
- Assure that all tables, chairs, and other equipment are clean and in proper working order.
- Execute room setup and breakdown with the ability to lift-up to 70 lbs.
- Work with Food & Beverage Manager, Banquet Supervisor, and Sales Department to create and execute planned layouts.
- Provide exceptional hospitality for every guest before, during, and after each event.
- Maintain and ensure event linen is steamed and clean prior to setup to meet the expectations of the guest
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
- Comply at all times with Hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Working in a professional manner at all times and maintaining a clean work area
- Be punctual and reliable in the execution of instructions given.
- Stay current with daily schedule of events
- Must be an effective communicator and be able to consistently provide excellent guest service in a team environment with coworkers and the public.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work calmly and enthusiastically under high pressure.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
REASONING ABILITY
Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.
LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to read and speak English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, guests and supervisors for optimum operation of the property
