Job Duties and Responsibilities:
PeopleSoft System owner for specific assigned project codes for the billing and contracts modules. Ensures that each project code is properly set up and maintained on an ongoing basis.
Responsible for the analysis and review of project billing status as well as making independent decisions regarding the monthly billing activities for assigned projects
Works independently to manage assigned projects within the PeopleSoft system, ensuring that all appropriate amounts are invoiced accurately and in a timely manner.
Updates actual spend from Finance systems and actual achievement based on data provided by PD/PM.
Creates new and updates existing invoicing reconciliations and payment schedules/invoicing grids.
Sets up new contracts and amends existing contracts (CO’s) in PeopleSoft (PS). Generates draft invoice in PS and 1st time invoice cover letter (as required) for Project Manager review.
Finalizes approved invoice in PS and prepares final invoice package following established quality standards and submits to client for payment, to include administrative activities associated with such preparation and submission.
Provides backup documentation to the Project Manager and/or client as required and serves as liaison between Accounts Payable and Project Manager with regards to missing documentation
Makes correcting PS entries to resolve issues as directed by the Project Manager.
Assists in client query resolution as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualifications:
BA/BS in Accounting/Business or equivalent Covance experience
Experience:
Required:
2 to 5 years finance or relevant business experience
Computer competency including intermediate Excel skills
Detail oriented and highly accurate
Good planning and organizational skills
Ability to work to deadlines and effective time management skills
