SIGN-ON BONUS: $10,000 Sign ($5,000 after 30 days, and $5,000 after 90 days). Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Technician We seek a dedicated individual who will perform general housekeeping, inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment 13.8KV volts or lower, and documentation. You will work on a rotating on-call schedule to support plant operations during equipment breakdowns. Position Description: Inspect, repair and/or replace electrical control circuits, variable speed controllers, plant lighting, and switchgear 13.8 KV volts and lower Troubleshoot and repair electrical component malfunctions on plant equipment and perform corrective maintenance on cranes, motors, conveyors, fans, etc. Terminate electric motors 13.5KV volts and lower Install conduit and wiring for new installations and repairs to existing installations Perform preventative maintenance on all plant electrical equipment Complete required documentation of work to be done and work accomplished Take readings using multi-meter, megger and oscilloscope Be responsible for reading and utilizing PLC ladder logic Reading, interpreting, and utilizing stores catalog and equipment manuals for technical clarification and requisitioning parts and material Operate computer to access Maintenance Management Program for equipment history and work order reviews, both corrective and preventive Position Requirements: To be considered for this position the individual must have: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Three or more years of related experience and/or training as Journeyman Electrician in industrial setting Knowledge of or experience in (or as) one or more of the following: Controls Technician Instrumentation Technician Automation Technician PLC Technician Electronics Technician Field Service Technician ICE Technician Electrical Maintenance Industrial Electrician #LI-AO1 Covanta is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
