Position Description:
Field Services Technicians perform tasks associated with hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, facility & equipment decontamination, above-ground and underground tank cleaning activities, and confined space entry projects.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Health and Safety policies and processes are always followed.
- Operate light and heavy equipment such as pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers, skid loaders, and hand power tools.
- Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills.
- Work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive.
- Work in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment. Work at elevations including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts.
- Complete associated paperwork, including but not limited to daily worksheets, tailgate safety sheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements & permits.
Requirements:
- Valid state driver’s license required.
- Experience in construction, vac truck or related industry.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Preferred location around Burlington, NC
- Ability to travel 30%
- Ability to use heavy, light, and handheld equipment (forklift, track hoe, backhoe, skid steer, etc.).
- Work environment - outside weather conditions, exposure to the noise level.
