About the role

SIGN-ON BONUS $1,500 (1 / 2 after 30 days, 1 / 2 after 90 days)

Responsibilities :

Repair steel containers, cut, weld, and fabricate with metal, repair hinges and replace seals.

Diagnose and repair mobile equipment and other company vehicles as needed.

Perform all levels of preventative maintenance services.

Requirements :

High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree).

Two (2) years of industry related experience repairing and restructuring intermodal equipment, including Containers.

Two plus years of experience operating, front end loaders, excavators, forklifts, skid steers and other industrial equipment

The ability to read, understand apply information such as OSHA lockout / tagout procedures, safety rules, job hazard analyses, and procedure manuals.

Must have the ability to stay alert while sitting for long periods of time, work in close quarters and confined spaces, climb ladders, tolerate heights and extreme temperatures, and capable to lift up to 50 pounds.

Basic computer skills, including the ability to complete work orders and detail repair work electronically.

Must always maintain a clean and safe work environment by cleaning, organizing, removing safety hazards, oil spills, spare parts, etc. within the work area.

Additional duties as assigned, such as supporting rail operations and facility shutdowns.

Skills / Qualifications :

Ability to work independently with limited supervision and strong initiative.

Knowledge of proper container repair standards and procedures.

The expected hourly pay rate for this position is $26.55.

This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will take into account a variety of factors including experience, ability and location.
