What are the responsibilities and job description for the BARTENDER position at Cove Communities?
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Greets all guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepares and serves beverages following established protocol, and all state and federal liquor laws
- Keeps Leads and Food and Beverage Manager aware of any issues that in a timely manner and assists in resolution.
- Must be efficient in cash handling procedures and maintain a working knowledge of Toast system and its functions including but not limited to credit card and gift card transactions.
- Makes sure that all daily revenue and server tip reports are reconciled and given to accounting at the end of every day.
- Ensures that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
- Responsible for checking all ID’s and ensure only 21 is served alcohol
- Assists Food and Beverage Manager to decorate the bar area for theme weekends.
- Supports and follows Cove Communities and Point Sebago policy at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
- TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more on a regular basis and able to withstand long periods of time on your feet
- Ability to operate blenders and other equipment safely
- Ability to function well in a high pace, sometimes high stress environment
- Comfortable effectively communicating with all levels of guests and staff
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
