We are responsible for day-to-day security screening and access control of airport employees and other individuals passing through screening locations and various access points across the airport.
Security Officer pay rate: $16.90 to $17.90

- Responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being transported through Screening Locations.
- Carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service.
- Use diverse, cutting edge electronic detection and imaging equipment.
- Perform metal detection searches, pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines, physical searches of property, and other identification review as needed.
- Additional security related duties to ensure safety to the traveling public.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain Florida Class D Security License
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must read, write and speak English proficiently
- Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal, employment, education, and personal references
- Must possess valid state-issued Driver's License or a valid state-Issued I.D. card
- Must be able to pass pre-employment/annual/random drug screenings
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work and interact with the public
- Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing of schedules. This includes being available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening, and overnight as required.
