The General Manager (GM) serves as the leader of the day-to-day operational activities of their support center to achieve maximum profitability. The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the performance and development of center employees. The GM is also directly responsible for all franchise sales for the region. The GM oversees the onboarding, training, and ongoing development of new Franchise Owners.
The GM provides leadership for building a culture that is consistent with the Company’s Passion, Vision, Mission, and Values. Develop long and short-range plans for the operation of the region, ensure the plans, once approved, are properly executed and that the Divisional Vice President is kept informed of overall operations, trends, and activities within the region.
- Provide timely budget forecasts regarding but not limited to business levels, financial requirements, personnel needs, organizational plans, and facility requirements needed to support the operations of the region.
- Implement performance standards for the region’s operational team, evaluate performance of each team against the established standards, and work within conjunction with the Divisional VP Operations in improving and maintaining these standards.
- Responsible for all activities pertaining to the sale of new Coverall Franchise Owners.
- Dissemination of information pertaining to the franchise documents and sale of franchises.
- Work in tandem with the Sales Manager and Outside Sales Consultant’s in the achievement of account sales initiatives for the region.
- Coordinate relationships with Customers and franchisees as are necessary and in the best interest of the Regional Support Center and Corporation.
- Work with the Central Administration team to ensure that all activities relating to administrative policies and procedures are being adhered to in the region.
- See that office relations are maintained in a fair and consistent manner and in accordance with corporate policies and objectives.
- Assure that all funds, physical assets, and other property are properly safeguarded and administered.
- Perform such other duties as are assigned from time to time by Corporate.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and Finance or a related field required.
- A successful track record of personal success and management experience with minimum of five (5) years management experience.
- Previous P/L management experience required.
- Operational experience in a service industry is preferred.
- Business planning experience for a regional territory is required.
- Experience and or knowledge of a franchise business is a plus but not required.
- Solid experience managing and leading the activities of a skilled, diverse, and dedicated staff.
- Ability to communicate and implement company objectives and initiatives to Regional Support Center personnel.
- Highly motivated and able to influence and motivate others.
- Ability to make sound judgments.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to travel to annual meeting, quarterly trainings and other meetings as directed.
- High-level of ethics and integrity.
- Superior interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
