Job Overview:

Covestic is searching for an experienced SQL Database Analyst supporting our operations team. Ideal candidates will have strong SQL database skills, troubleshooting skills, query building skills and ability to work across various technical teams in an operations support environment. This role is an opportunity to affect positive changes to a very large ops team via your direct SQL DBA skills in replication, performance tuning, analysis of current database processes and knowledge article authoring. This operations team is a 7x24 environment will require on-call responsibilities.

Provide day to day operational support and engineering of a Live production databases for key services. Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting livesite issues, and maintaining system health through monitoring and proactive maintenance. Responsible for maintaining operational standards, protecting environment health from vulnerabilities, fielding customer requests, lifecycle maintenance of OS/SQL upgrades, and migrations to new configurations and platforms as needed.

Required skills:

• Experience of Windows SQL Technologies
• Administrative skills on SQL server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2019
• Troubleshooting experience in SQL Server including performance (blocking, query optimization), query failures (deadlocks, exceptions), SQL Job Agent Failures, High Availability and Disaster recovery issues, SQL and Windows log analysis
• Experience with Azure and Azure Update Management
• Ability to create advanced queries using T-SQL
• Excellent understanding of Windows based Security patching
• Effective written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent analytical skills and knowledge in deep dive analysis and root cause problem solving.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects.
• Ability to implement and drive corrective actions with tooling and owned services.

CompensationThe estimated pay range for this position is USD 120,000.00 annual and is a Exempt role. Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
