Job Summary
COVID-19 testing is a key component of care, and Covid Clinic is dedicated to providing accessible testing for all. Our growing company is hiring for a proposal writer. We are searching for a proposal RFP/RFQ/RFI federal government, state government, local municipality, and education acquisition, solicitation, writer to join our team at Covid Clinic in creating engaging and persuasive proposals.
A proposal writer is responsible for gathering information, formatting each proposal according to company guidelines, and obtaining approval before sending proposals out to sources. You must have excellent organizational skills, work well under deadlines. A timed writing exercise will be required and administered prior to the initial interview. The perfect candidate for this position cares about facts and detail oriented as well as writing in a convincing manner
Duties/Responsibilities
- Write responses to Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and other federal, state, or international government requests
- Maintain the RFP database of reusable content to ensure accurate and current sales specific information
- Writes technical copy for proposal development and various operations and maintenance manuals and technical publications
- Identifies potential issues in the project documents and requirements, and follows up with assigned team members responsible for those task items
- Ensures technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and departmental specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style
- Creates graphic illustrations, charts, matrices, flow diagrams, and process flow charts for proposals that includes requests for graphic artists, write captions and introduce figures in text
- Trains and works with proposal team, technical writers, SMEs, and consultant
- Maintains proposal archive, past performance, and resume database
- Coordinates with subcontractors to ensure information meets company standards and RFP requirements
Required Skills/Abilities
- Able to network and collaborate with business unit stakeholders to influence and impact requirements related to proposal development
- Able to re-write/content-edit technical information received from the pursuit team
- Ability to work on multiple proposals simultaneously
- Working knowledge of federal government, State, Local Municipality, and Education acquisition, solicitation, RFP process, grants or other relevant experience in pursuit management is desired
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to support proposal efforts that meet Firm branding, marketing, and legal standards
- Excellent organization and time-management skills to keep pace with energetic sales and client service teams as well as excellent interpersonal verbal, and written communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, comparable experience may be considered.
- 1-3 years’ experience in proposal writing
- Verifiable success in writing proposals and receiving grants as a result
- Experience generating fully compliant and compelling proposal responses.
Physical Requirements
- Typically set in an office environment
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and reach often
- Must be able to operate a computer and requisite programs with or without accommodation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
