DEPARTMENT:             Sales/Sales Support, mid-level position

FLSA STATUS:                Exempt

WORK SCHEDULE:      M-F, either 7-4, 8-5, or 9-6, may need to flex times due to business needs

LOCATION: Can be based in Downtown Boise, ID, or Downtown Hartford, CT – Hybrid/Remote role for right candidate.

JOB SUMMARY:

Covr is growing and looking to add a Life Insurance Case Designer/Sales Support Associate to our team! The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the sales team & the financial advisors they work with by running life insurance illustrations for 30 carriers!  As needed, this person will also support by making follow up calls to financial advisors for various campaigns. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in providing insurance quotes and case design to financial advisors and their clients for life insurance, disability income and asset based long term care. 
  • Provides life insurance case design for sales team members based on specific requirements.
  • Performs life insurance policy reviews based on specific policy information and advisor guidance; including requesting in-force ledgers to analyze policy performance. 
  • Assists in advising financial advisors on insurance products, sales concepts, and underwriting.
  • Creates supporting opportunities within CRM system.
  • Communicates directly with financial advisors and/or clients with regards to life insurance benefits and features of various insurance products based on client needs. 
  • Answer the phone queue to assist and direct financial advisors
  • Support the sales team by making follow up calls to advisors on email and other campaigns.
  • Provides business analysis support for ongoing technology and process improvement initiatives. 
  • Acts as liaison between Sales, Product and Technology teams. 
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in performing insurance policy analysis and report generation
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in life insurance 
  • Active Life and health insurance license or to be obtained within 6 months.

 Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • Finance service experience a plus
  • Heavy customer service experience via phone a plus
  • Experience with Winflex, Ensight, or other insurance carrier software is ideal
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system.

 Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills, report generation and data entry skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills, ability to build phone-based relationships 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task without losing focus.
  • Must be a self-starter and ability to learn independently through experience 
  • Comfortable with routine, repetitive tasks
  • Demonstrated history of relationship management success with ability to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity and accountability
  • Ability to work within a team and pitch in where needed.
  • Learning new products and carrier concepts.
