Summary of Position:
Responsible for supporting the Safety department within Cowan Systems, LLC to maintain compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Regulations and company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create Driver and Equipment files in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy using third party and internal applications
- Maintain equipment and independent contractor insurance database
- Order state permits
- Activate and deactivate independent contractor fuel card
- Coordinate with maintenance department ordering independent contractor equipment tags
- Generate inter-department communication for all changes
- Process applications using external databases ordering reports
- Collect, review and activates new drivers and equipment
- Internal and external company customer communication via telephone and email
Skills & Requirements:
- 1 year office environment experience
- Microsoft experience with Word and Excel
