POSITION: Shipping / Quality Assurance Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Salaried (exempt)

REPORTS TO: General Manager

SUPERVISES: Shipping and Quality Control Departments

ANNUAL PAY RANGE: $70,000 - $90,000

Job Description
Oversee and coordinate activities related to quality assurance and shipping processes

Essential Job Functions

· Ensure that all Shipping and Quality Assurance activities take place in a SAFE and effective manner

· Oversee Quality Control Manager position ensuring proper staffing and application of processes and protocols related to the accurate receiving, processing, and shipment of apples

• Oversee Shipping Office activities ensuring that proper staffing, processes, and protocols are followed resulting in accurate paperwork detail associated with the timely and accurate loading of all trucks
• Oversee Shipping Dock activities ensuring that proper staffing, processes, and protocols are followed resulting in the accurate and timely loading of all trucks
• Monitor sales order requests, identifying and communicating orders that include price outliers or other concerns that outside current market scenarios
• Work closely with the Inventory Team and our Quality Management System to ensure that it is utilized properly, consistently, and effectively
• Become familiar with other department activities and personnel, especially production, supporting their needs whenever able to do so
• Work closely with Domex Marketing in coordination of proper and timely fruit quality and shipments, trouble issues and market trends
• Work closely with CGI Production Team to ensure quality parameters are met to support overall goal of accuracy and timeliness of all shipping orders

Other responsibilities

• Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Knowledge of English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and mathematics
• Knowledge of record keeping methods and procedures
• Skilled in electronic information systems and/or user-interfaced web-based applications

Qualifications & Requirements

· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in shipping management position

• Bilingual English/Spanish and the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in both
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft suite, database programs and inventory software programs
• Knowledge and understanding of warehouse management systems related to product inventory and shipping
• Valid driver's license or the ability to perform the job in an equally efficient manner without driving
• Ability to pass a comprehensive employment background verification with a clean driver’s abstract
