The Data Marketplace Release Trainbuilds valuable services and governance processes that allow usersto discover data across the enterprise, share data in a centralizeddata warehouse, and retrieve the data required to meet businessgoals and build exciting new products.
The Senior Product Ownerwill define user stories, prioritize the team backlog, contribute asolid understanding of end users and their needs, and identifyfuture capabilities for the product.
The position demands frequentinteractions with end users at all levels of the organization,including business, analyst, data science, and technology teams.
This role requires a solid understanding of technical capabilitiesin the data space, which means we are looking for candidates with ablend of technical experience and a customer-focused, productmindset.
This role will be focused on products related to improvingand automating our ability to grant data access to our consumerswhile developing the backend of our self-service experience.
Thisrole will work heavily with Snowflake, so prior Snowflakeexperience is desired.
Job Duties
- Lead anengineering delivery team to build, enhance, and manage the DataMarketplace.
- Own, prioritize, and maintainthe product backlog for an engineering delivery team.
- Break down features into detailed consumable andtestable stories.
- Accept and review completedstories with a focus on product quality.
- Partner with the Release Train Product Lead to scope and writefeatures for the delivery teams.
- Collaboratewith other product owners, product managers, and stakeholders todefine, prioritize, and drive the realization of the product visionto meet quarterly goals.
- Partner withcustomers to understand needs and execute value-added work for theData Marketplace.
- Serve as the "voice of thecustomer" to the delivery team by representing and reinforcing thecustomer's perspective throughout product realizationcycles.
- Act as the subject-matter expert forthe products owned by the teams.
- Communicaterelease notes and product news and demo product capabilities tostakeholders.
- Communicate status, risks, andrequirements to leadership and partner groups.
- Provide input and conceive ideas for enhancing productperformance and shaping product roadmaps.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with consumersand suppliers of data for the Data Marketplace across CoxAutomotive.
- Settle disputes between partieseffectively and for the best of Cox Automotive; be autonomous andmake decisions without oversight when appropriate.
Qualifications
- BA or BSdegree required; 5 years of experience in a related field (i.e.,data and analytics, product management, IT).
- 3 years of experience in product management for an engineeringteam building and launching highly technicalsolutions.
- Priorexperience as a software engineer, data engineer, or databaseadministrator is a plus.
- Experience defining and building customer-centric,self-service workflows is a plus.
- Demonstratedexperience working with highly technical teams working on clouddata engineering or within the domain of data or analyticsplatforms to create, build, and launch successful dataproducts.
- Experienceworking on cross-functional, high-performing teams.
- Proven ability to be self-directed and operateeffectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Proven record of creating business value and improvingthe user experience through product delivery.
- Creative thinker with an open mind to learn and explore new areasand to develop and recommend opportunities andsolutions.
- Demonstrated effective leadershipby earning trust, respect, and fostering the development ofself-organizing teams.
- Excellent written andverbal communication abilities; ability to give clear andconsistent instructions to team members required.
- Ability to communicate ideas, alternatives, andsolutions with distributed teams.
- Passionateabout solving data management problems.

- Proven execution and productmanagement skills.
