The Director - Product Management oversees the development and implementation of Operations toolsets and capabilities. This leader will partner with others to identify and deliver on key business objectives using technology-driven solutions and automation. The leader oversees business enablement initiatives to reduce friction in employee workflows by eliminating manual processes, repetitive tasks, and streamlining processes within the UI. This role will lead a team of Product Owners and Managers to ensure objectives and business values are met along with customer and employee experience.
Position Responsibilities:
Accountable to the end-to-end definition and delivery of Operations toolset capabilities; delivery within an Agile Technology development environment
Informs the development of Ops tool capabilities through business requirement definition, roadmaps, UX, and process definition
Develops and implements an improvement roadmap, processes, and tools for Ops
Partners with business leaders to identify requirements and ensure requirements align to future state process definition
Oversees and ensure successful delivery of capital portfolio with moderate level of complexity in a product development environment
Monitors and product management with end-to-end visibility across projects, including budget/costs and value
Accountable for managing to budget and delivering on commitments as well as holding others accountable to do the same
Leader will effectively and transparently communicate program status including successes, opportunities and vision to build support and alignment across the company
Build and maintains relationships across the business and leverages those relationships to effectively manage the platform strategy
Fosters a high-performance culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback, and developing employees for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development
Provides leadership and indirect management of cross-functional teams to execute on time and within budget.
Forms cross-functional teams and leads teams through the analysis and development of the strategy supporting the identified gap.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10 years' experience in a related field (Technology Development, Product Management, Process, Operations, Field Operations). Related experience should include at least 5 years' experience in management or leadership role.
The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 5 years' experience in a related field; or 22 years' experience in a related field.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocations. Understands work and activity can be impacted by shifts in demands and priorities.
Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience in telecommunications or high-tech environment
5 years of experience in a Product Management role
USD 142,100.00 - 236,800.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $142,100.00 - $236,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
