Job Description
As a Lead DevOps Engineer you will advocate, design, and implement automation solutions for development and operation teams across Cox Communications consisting of source control, build & test automation, code quality, security, deployments, and the processes in-between.
The Enterprise Software Configuration Management team is an innovative team devoted to providing automated enterprise-grade solutions and services for Cox Communications to measure, evaluate, and plan for visible, reliable application delivery and maintenance. As a member of the Enterprise Software Configuration Management team, you will work closely with teams to help create automated pipelines and solutions required for continuous delivery in an Agile DevOps environment. The tools and use-cases are diverse, and our challenge is to increase the development velocity by optimizing various parts of the pipeline and increasing application stability. We operate in a blameless environment, where we focus on continuously learning.

- Thought leader in Application Development space with knowledge on DevOps best practices in Agile environment (Architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD Pipelines & Container technologies)

- Proactively addresses issues and pursues improvements and new ideas.
- Strong written and oral communications skills
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Design and setup applications delivery lifecycle (CI/CD) of top common programming languages of Cloud Native
- Consult and train teams on DevOps practices, tools and methodologies that helps accelerate application delivery.
- Maintain Highly Available production services that used across the company
- Automate applications and infrastructure deployments on private and public cloud
- Research and experiment with the latest technologies and tools that enables our mission
- Troubleshoot builds and deployments of applications
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field.
- 4 years of DevOps experience.
- Strong experience designing, configure CI/CD workflows to facilitate high ( Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gitlab or Argo )
- Experience with application build tools on various languages ( Maven , NPM , SBT, Docker , Ansible, Helm, Skaffold )
- Experience with managing binaries artifact repository using Artifactory
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management( Terraform, Kustomize, Ansible, JobDSL, Jenkinsfile or similar)
- Proficient and solid understand of Git functionality and workflows
- Experience using APIs for automating between services (Python, Groovy)
- Familiar with High availability, Disaster Recovery and Deployment strategies of production environments
- Experience supporting Agile Scrum/Kanban development teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to communicate complex problems to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure, reprioritize, and adjust to changes in direction and deadlines.
- Ability to balance multiple high priority projects and complete on time with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- 3 years' experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS, Kubernetes)
- Contributes to open-source projects and/or participates in communities.
- Familiar with DevSecOps tools for SAST, DAST and SCA
