What You'll Do
You'll be in the mix with data engineering initiatives. Interested in building end-to-end solutions that are scalable, stable and secure? We've got you covered. Other responsibilities include:
- Delivering data solutions that are customer focused, easy to consume and that create business impact.
- Building efficient and scalable data services and frameworks.
- Integrating data systems with AWS tools, Snowflake and other on-premises services.
- Building ETL pipelines both for batch and streaming data use cases.
- Curating data for analytics.
Who You Are
You're passionate about working with huge datasets. As a self-driven person, you're a quick learner with new technologies. You strive for simplicity and demonstrate sound judgement. You also have the following credentials:
Minimum :
- A bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience in a related field,
- OR a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience,
- OR a master's degree and 4 years of experience,
- OR 18 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience with distributed systems and NoSQL databases.
- Experience working with medium to large-scale data warehousing and analytics projects, including using AWS technologies - Redshift, S3, EC2, Glue, Data-pipeline and other cloud technologies
- Comfortable with Agile methodologies and able to deliver as part of Agile team.
Preferred:
- 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or related specialty with a track record of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large datasets.
- Experience with Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) databases - Oracle, Redshift, Snowflake, Teradata etc. (Snowflake Preferred).
- Excellent communication skills.
