Cox Enterprises is hiring a Retirement Customer Service Representative to provide customer service and support for pension plan participants communicating via the Cox Corporate Benefits Helpline, inbound mail, and Benefits Help Email Inbox. Effectively handle inbound and outbound calls daily. Respond to inquiries regarding pension eligibility, retirement application process, and retiree healthcare. Review all written requests including retirement kits, death claims, and account updates for completeness. Initiate communication with retirees, beneficiaries, and plan participants regarding missing documentation, required authorizations, and respective deadlines. Update and maintain confidential information in various systems (PeopleSoft, Pension Path). Manage case assignment for the Retirement Administration Team. Accurately processes a high volume of basic account maintenance requests within established time frames. Aid participants with general retirement website inquiries and the initial online enrollment process. Accurately update and maintain electronic records.

Primary Responsibilities
- Inbound and outbound call handling on Cox Corporate Benefits Helpline.
- Process Tier 1 retirement transactions (EFT, tax withholding, benefit verifications and demographic changes) received via mail, email and fax.
- Communicate eligibility of pension, health and death benefits.
- Process returned mail.
- Provide system support by assisting participants with initial access/enrollment on the Cox Retirement website and by reporting technical issues.

Minimum:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in customer service or call center.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to comprehend, retain and communicate pension plan rules.
- Ability to articulate information clearly, adapting communication styles to match others.
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate effective judgment and decision-making skills.
- Proven, strong mathematical skills required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
- Strong, proven customer service skills.
- Must be self-motivated with a good work ethic and have demonstrated the discipline to work effectively both independently and in a team environment and establish relationships.
- Strong computer skills; proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (specifically: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills; strong attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience using HR systems to administer benefits.
- Experience with pension plans.
