Cox Media Group’s 102.3 KRMG Tulsa’s News & Talk has an opening for – A Radio News Editor.
Responsibilities include, preparing and executing live radio broadcasts/newscasts by running an audio board, following a radio talk clock, working with our radio automation system (WideOrbit) working in conjunction with the station’s Program Director with on-air breaks, digital production (Adobe Audition), producing, writing, screening phone calls, setting up interviews, working in conjunction with station on-air talent and station on-air clients, remote location equipment. Duties also include assisting the morning show by working up stories for on-air and online. Experience covering major news stories and severe weather coverage a plus.
Job Duties and Job Tasks
-80% - Producing for the morning news. Writing copy, collecting sound, building relationships with news makers.
-10% - Run a flawless radio audio board, follow a syndicated talk clock, produce and execute live in-studio client talk shows.
-5% - Live on-air delivery of news/weather/traffic.
-5% - Clearing the station’s commercial inventory through its automation software (WideOrbit).
Responsibilities / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma

College Radio Experience and/or degree in Radio/TV or any past professional radio board experience preferred.
- News/Talk Radio Experience preferred
