Plant Manager

C-P Flexible Packaging is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers. With a primary focus on serving the food industry, C-P specializes in roll stock, pouches, re-sealable packaging and shrink sleeves. Our headquarters and main manufacturing facility is located York, PA, with additional operations throughout North America. This position is based in Bristol, PA.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position requires the ability to develop and execute manufacturing and capital investment plans, the ability to collect and research data, and to use this information to maximize the production of Company equipment and production departments.

Supervisory Functions:

• Position oversees the following departments and Department Managers, assisting them (as needed) with production plans, staffing, data collection and efficiency improvements.
  • Press/Ink/Mounting
  • Finishing – Slitting, Lamination, Material Handling, Extrusion Lamination
  • Maintenance & Engineering
  • Shrink sleeves and Reclose Operations
  • Warehousing

Work Environment:

• Position requires 10% travel by car and airplane.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
• Main work environment is office.
• Position requires ability to work on the production floor for periods of time to evaluate production issues, plant tours, observe equipment installation and repairs.

 

Requirements

Education/Experience: 

• BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 10 years Business Development experience in the Flexible Packaging industry.
• Must have working knowledge of internal manufacturing capabilities including printing, laminating, and slitting processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and demonstrates attention to detail.

Skills:

• Background and experience in flexographic manufacturing disciplines (Press, Ink, Pre-press, Finishing, etc.)
• Ability to analyze, and interpret technical journals, technical data sheets, and market journals.
• Reasoning abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
• Proficient computer skills: MS Office Suite, Crystal reports, Globe-Tek (ERP system), et al
