Colonial Pipeline is the largest refined products pipeline in the United States, transporting more than 100 million gallons or 2.5 million barrels per day. Colonial transports various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, and fuels for the U.S. military through a pipeline system. About the Senior Network Engineer Position As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be providing robust, reliable, and secure network communications for the safe operation of a critical national pipeline infrastructure. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will plan, design and maintain data and voice systems. As well as, provide oversight for operations of local area networks and a more than 250-site wide area network consisting of MPLS, Satellite, Cellular, RF and DMVPN. You are someone who excels at working independently or within a team to complete tasks in a self-directed manner. What You Get to Do: Plan, design, and implement Network systems. Act as an internal consultant to project teams throughout the organization. Collaborate with other team members and functions to identify, develop, and implement scalable and redundant network designs, solutions, and policy recommendations to ensure safety, security, high availability and superior performance. Provide vision, direction, and planning to continuously improve the technology infrastructure. Develop and optimize processes and documentation. What You Bring to the Table: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education. Ideally, 6 years of network engineering experience. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. Expert level knowledge with hands-on experience with complex network infrastructure and technologies. Expert level knowledge with hands-on experience in either Route/Switch or Collaboration. Skilled in enterprise networking, network security, Software Defined Networking in both Data Center and WAN, Application Centric Infrastructure, SD-WAN, Cisco FirePower, Firewalls, Industrial Controls Systems, Operations Technology, Cisco Collaboration, VMWare networking. Strong analytical, communications, teamwork, project management, and supplier/vendor management skills. Excellent in-depth knowledge of Cisco enterprise products. Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments. Self-motivated, have phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth. Got Extra to Bring? Consulting or engineering lead experience in at least one domain of network infrastructure. In depth understanding of both IT and OT networking along with familiarity with Industrial control systems. In depth understanding of software defined network from the Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) stack through the WAN. In depth understanding of cyber security design and best practices especially as related to network engineering and Industrial Controls Systems environments. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Industrial Network Specialist, Juniper Networks Certified Expert (JNCIE), Checkpoint Certified Security Expert (CCSE), and/or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Expert level knowledge with hands on experience in multiple infrastructure domains such as; Route Switch, SDN, Cyber Security, and/or Collaboration.
