This position is responsible for stocking and maintaining the warehouse area. They are also responsible for shipping and receiving of all bag ingredients, bagged feed and hardware. They must check in all items coming and going and are responsible for the associated paperwork.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: This list is not inclusive and may be expanded as management deems necessary
Essential Duties 1. Assist in receiving and unloading trucks and checking incoming product. Complete inbound paperwork accordingly. 2. Sort and place inbound products on racks or warehouse/mill floor according to CPC’s organizational standards (first in, first out order). 3. Prepare outbound orders by processing requests via MILL LOAD SHEET; pulling product, stacking and wrapping pallets, staging orders in delivery area or loading customer vehicles or delivery trucks. Complete associated paperwork for submission to office. 4. Pull all orders in advance for Dealers or Side-of-Truck. 5. Assist customers picking up product with their purchase. Ensure product is loaded appropriately. 6. Back empty trailers into dock area to be loaded. 7. Restock the warehouse, as needed. Determine which products are to be produced and bagged.
Secondary Duties 1. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. 2. Pull all damaged and obsolete products out of inventory. 3. Assist with keeping medicine area stocked with proper ingredients. 4. Perform inspections of forklifts and report deficiencies to Maintenance. 5. Any other duties as required to uphold CPC’s standards for production and quality At CPC, client satisfaction is the measure of our success. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 1 year warehouse experience preferred
Effective and clear written and oral communication skills fluent in English
Organizational, time management, and basic mathematical skills including adding and subtracting
Dependable and reliable with an ability to be self-motivated
Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
Capable of operating a forklift in a safe manner
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees may be required to:
Frequently lift, move, and stack units weighing up to 55 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weight more than 75 lbs.
Regularly use hands to handle or feel product and reach with hands and arms.
Regularly required to sit for long periods while operating a forklift.
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Specific vision abilities include color vision (identifying product tags).
