Purpose/Introduction
The Pasadena Plant is currently seeking a Scheduler position, supporting the Operation Units. The primary function of this role is develop, communicate, and maintain a workable Maintenance schedule.
Responsibilities
The principle job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Applies Tenets and supports safety related processes as a core value
- Develop maintenance job plans, schedules, and estimates using SAP
- Utilized Prometheus to develop weekly schedules.
- Step up as backup Maintenance Superintendent as needed.
- Conducting daily update meetings with Operations.
- Reviews backlog of ready to schedule work orders to ensure work orders are viable for scheduling
- Works with Operations to correct work orders that are not viable for scheduling
- Works with Operations to prioritize ready to schedule work orders
- Ensures PM's are placed on schedule to meet timing requirements
Responsibilities (continued)
- Works with Maintenance manpower coordinator to confirm available resource capacities by work center
- Coordinates process to develop and issue daily and weekly schedules
- Progresses the daily schedule based on job feedback from Maintenance supervision
- Works with Operations personnel to ensure timely work order closeout
- Provides feedback to Planners, Operations Maintenance Coordinators and Maintenance personnel to drive continuous improvement of the Maintenance process
- Runs and analyzes scheduling MICE PM Activity M1 metrics (MICE schedule compliance, resource utilization, etc.)
- May perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with a minimum 5 years of planning, scheduling and/or estimating experience OR Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3 years of planning, scheduling and/or estimating experience?
- Petrochemical manufacturing process experience and associated equipment knowledge.
- Proficient with SAP, specifically in the Plant Maintenance module.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must demonstrate an unwavering commitment to personal and process safety
- The candidate should be a self-starter with solid planning and organizational skills.
- The successful candidate must have the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks at the same time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Prometheus and/or Primavera Project Management software is a plus.
- Have proficiency with computers and MS Office tools (including Excel, Access, Word and Project).
- Working knowledge of effective Maintenance work processes.
