The Electro Mechanical Tech is responsible for performing diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment within the production department to maximize production up-time. Motivated self-starter, proficient in analytical and troubleshooting skills to module or component level, as required.
Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality preventative and emergency maintenance services on electro-mechanical equipment within the production department to maximize production uptime.
- Ensure completed product complies with applicable ISO and ANSI standards.
- Observe and comply with safety regulations in accordance with OSHA, TOSHA and equipment manufacturer guidelines when installing, maintaining or repairing electrically energized and/or mechanically moving equipment.
- Interact with staff in a positive manner to understand equipment problems providing guidance and assistance for resolution.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment in performing duties to include: Hand tools (drivers, wrenches, sockets)
- Electronic measuring equipment (multi-meters, electronic test equipment)
- Mechanical measuring equipment (calipers, spring gauge, torque wrench)
Read and interpret equipment manuals:
- System, Functional, Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Theory of Operation
- System, Functional, Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Block diagrams
- System, Functional, Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Drawings and Schematics
- Illustrated Parts Breakdown
Proficient and accurate with Computerized Maintenance Management Software to include:
- Work Order documentation, recording and reporting
- Asset and failure cause identification and analysis
- Material use and Labor documentation recording and reporting
- Provide guidance and assistance to lesser experienced technicians as requested or required.
- Perform all other duties/collateral duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience:
- Completion of an Associates Electrical, Electronics with minimum of 2 years on the job experience or military equivalent or Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Vocational\Certification Training Program with minimum of 3 years on the job experience in a production environment or military equivalent.
- Proficiency of computers, computer controlled production equipment and computer software to include MS Word, MS Excel and Computerized Maintenance systems.
