Job Title: Machine Operator
Hours - Monday through Thursday - 6:30am - 5pm, 10 hours shifts with Friday's off.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of the Job
- Performs manufacturing or production tasks/assignments ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as aluminum, castings, steel and fiberglass per work instructions
- Performs fabrication or inspection functions in production or pre-production environment per work instructions, bill of materials and prints/drawings
- Reads and understands simple work instructions and drawings/prints
- May conduct manufacturing inspections on processing line in accordance to quality specifications and documentation
- Organizes packing, movement and protection of finished product
- Performs fabrication and marking per work instructions, BOM’s and drawings/prints
- Maintains and operates equipment/tooling per work instructions and on the job training
- Completes appropriate quality paperwork as required (e.g. Corrective Action Request, Discrepant Material Report etc.)
- Accurately completes process paperwork and entering data into the applicable work order management system
- participates in continuous improvement activities and problem solving activities
- Leads by example in maintaining a clean and orderly work area
- Supports safety/housekeeping standards
- Contacts are primarily within immediate work unit, direct supervisor and the department
Minimally Required Skills
- Proficient manufacturing process skills
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, engineering change notices, test procedures training documents and drawings/prints
- Ability to organize multiple tasks
- Ability to operate equipment safely
- Proficient and effective communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work within a high performance work team
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Proficient knowledge of measuring equipment and math
- Ability to use various computer software.
- Ability to act as a role model for appropriate skills and behaviors
- Ability to exhibit adaptability/flexibility
- Proficient in basic math
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
Minimum job requirements:
· Related work experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent is required
