What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crater - Material Handler position at CPM?

Job Responsibilities:
- Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy
- Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments
- Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
- Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed
- Loads trucks using a forklift
- Performs other clerical duties
- Assists with material handlers and craters as needed
- Willingness to work off hours and over time as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
- Basic understanding of dock and warehouse operational and safety procedures
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with ERP software, SAP Business One preferred
- Fork truck experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a sense of urgency and maturity to get the job done
