Controller for Law Firms

CPN Legal is seeking an experienced controller with prior experience at a CPA or professional service firm to take ownership of maintaining accurate financial records for a book of law firm clients.

Primary duties & responsibilities:

• Bank reconciliations
• Trust account record keeping
• Produce financial reports including weekly cash flow reports
• Understands accounting issues and other operational issues experienced by clients
• Works accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision, while still meeting client expectations and deadlines
• Working knowledge of preparing payroll setup, submission, review and journal entries
• Custom Excel reporting

Successful candidates will have:

• QuickBooks Online experience
• Professional skills to handle all types of client engagements efficiently and timely
• High level of project management skills to ensure deadlines are met on multiple client engagements
• Strong problem-solving skills and knows when to ask questions
• Previous experience at a CPA or professional service firm preferred, including active or inactive CPA

Role does not require external sales.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
