What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector A position at CPP- Boston?
Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) has an immediate need for a Quality Control Inspector for Wollaston Alloys Inc. in Braintree, MA, to join our team. Wollaston Alloys is a stainless steel and high alloy sand casting foundry that manufactures castings for the military and power generation industries.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform various duties including inspection of castings utilizing various measuring devices
- Place castings of average weight occasionally in proper work area, inspect castings, following required procedures and customer requirements, utilizing various measuring devices, blueprints applicable for inspection required.
- Preparation and recording of various reports, blueprint reading, ensure quality of castings
- Perform various coding, marking, stamping for proper processing in accordance with prescribed procedures and specifications.
- Prepare scrap reports, discrepancy reports, incoming material reports.
- Prepare information for scrap review by Quality Control Manager.
- Perform quality control audits as required. Ensure all castings are properly marked and tested in accordance to prescribed standards/ specifications.
- Perform the duties of the Spectrograph Operator B and Inspector B under the direction of the Department Supervisor.
- Perform necessary clerical/record keeping duties as required.
Qualifications for the position include:
- Hold current ASNT NDT Level II (PT, MT, RT) qualifications.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical data and customer specifications.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations, follow instructions, and use various measuring devices.
- Able to read/write/speak English.
