Summary:
The Lean Coordinator implements lean methodology as an organizational standard for problem solving and optimizing efficiency. Develops, coordinates, promotes and teaches Lean classes for staff members and others as needed. Will advise staff regarding lean projects and opportunities. Value stream and or mapping techniques will be conducted as a visualization tool to better understand process flows and target improvements.

Work may be performed in an office environment or the manufacturing area of the facility which may require use of safety glasses and hearing protection. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, noise, odors, and fumes, etc. may also be encountered when in the manufacturing areas to varying degrees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Facilitate LEAN events (structured team Problem solving activities)
- Activities include designing “Right Sized Equipment” to facilitate flow
- Manufacturing cell layouts and value streams to optimize floor space and increase part flow.
- Provide lean training to employees and staff
- 6S training
- Creation of visual controls and WIP hold areas
- Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures
- Deliver stable/steady improvement with standard work through 5S workplace organization and simple/visual controls
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Promote the LEAN success stories and learning across the company
- Minimum 5 Years Manufacturing Experience
- In depth knowledge or understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
