Job Summary
Braze or solder together components to assemble fabricated metal parts, using soldering iron, torch, or welding machine and flux.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Hands on production using small hand tools and shop equipment
- Mechanically inclined and detail oriented
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Brazes together components to assemble metal parts as specified by layout, work order, or blueprints, using hand torch: Aligns and clamps workpieces together, using rule, square, or template or sets up and places them in fixtures, jigs, or vise.
- Follows job instructions, to complete work orders on time as specified.
- Packer- sorting of materials for the line.
- Notifies Supervisor of issues regarding their work area (equipment, area, product, safety)
- Occasionally performs warehouse duties like: Picking material, moving product.
- Monitor’s product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform final checks for defective items.
- Maintains area organized & performs daily cleaning routines as directed.
- Support the team when needed.
- Follows all policies and procedures of Occupational Safety and Health, Human Resources and Quality Department. Reports any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by other departments of the warehouse.
Physical Requirements
- Perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. at times.
