Position Overview: MECO Engineering is seeking a licensed Senior Electrical Engineer or an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team at one of our office locations in Hannibal, MO, Jefferson City, MO, or Pittsfield, IL. While the need for a Senior Electrical Engineer is not urgent, we welcome candidates who can bring expertise in electrical design, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to our multidisciplinary projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage electrical engineering projects, primarily focusing on building and commercial industrial applications, including low to medium voltage systems.
- Design and oversee controls engineering, particularly for water and wastewater facility design, ensuring the distribution of power within buildings to necessary components.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Work collaboratively across multiple disciplines within the firm to deliver comprehensive project solutions.
- Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment with client expectations.
- Manage project schedules, documentation, and communications to maintain project momentum and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Missouri preferred, but not required for Electrical Designer candidates.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering or electrical design, particularly in building and commercial industrial settings.
- Knowledge of low to medium voltage systems and controls engineering, especially within the context of water/wastewater facilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to clients and team members.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a commitment to mentoring and developing junior engineers.
