Overview:
Cracker Barrel is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join the Home Office to conduct audits of all CBRL Group, Inc. and subsidary companies to examine, evaluate, and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems of management and financial control provided by the assigned organization. This partner recommend actions to assist the organization toward the accomplishments of our objectives in accordance with Cracker Barrel's policies and plans.
Responsibility:
- Reviews procedures and records for effectiveness in accomplishing intended objectives, and appraises policies and plans relating directly to the activity or function under audit review. Examines the effectiveness of all levels of management in budgeting of organization resources and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Produces reports on the results of audit examinations, including recommendation for improvement. Provides Senior Management with reports on audit coverage, the results of the audit activity, and interprets results to improve the audit schedule and audit coverage. Recommends improvement of management controls designed to safeguard organization resources, promote organization growth, and ensure compliance with government laws and regulations.
- Identifies activities subject to audit coverage. Evaluates the significance and assesses degree of risk inherent in the activity in terms of cost, schedule, and quality. Develops and executes a comprehensive audit program for the evaluation of the management controls provided over assigned organization.
- Appraises the adequacy of action taken by operating management to correct reported deficiencies. Accepts or denies adequate corrective action; continues review with appropriate management personnel on action considered inadequate until there has been satisfactory resolution of the matter.
- Conducts special examinations at the request of management, including the reviews of representations made by persons outside the organization.
- Manages, develops, and maintains the intern program to ensure that deadlines, as well as, organization and departmental objectives and standards are met.
- Thorough knowledge of the Standards for Professional Practice in Internal Auditing.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or business-related field
- 5 years internal audit experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
