As a painter you will work with paint and color to beautify homes and commercial buildings using the talent you were born with.Skills & ResponsibilitiesAs a member of our Craftsman Painter Community and as a skilled professional, you will know how to prep, tape, repair drywall, brush, roll, and spray all manner of interior finishes such as walls, trim, ceilings, and cabinets. If you don't know how to paint cabinets yet, that's ok. We provide training. You'll be responsible for following our standard operating procedures set forth by the Painting Contractors Association. You will be responsible for showing up to work on time, putting in a good honest days work, and reporting your productivity. You will also provide light customer service while you are in the home or office space.Desired ExperienceFor this position we prefer a journeyman or craftsman level painter with 3-5 years experience, not much more and not much less.College or vocational training is not required but some college credits are preferred.For the right candidate, you may apply for our apprenticeship bootcamp held at our head quarters in Bloomington, IN where you will receive full training on interior painting. About Craftsman Painter, Inc.Our primary mission as a company is to make a difference in the lives of our craftsman community, our customers and in our local neighborhoods. Painters report to the Onsite Leader under the direction of a local Master Craftsman. On a daily basis you will report directly to the job site no later than 9:00 am and work until lunch. You'll get up to an hour for lunch and then you'll continue working until 5:00 pm. You'll work Monday through Friday. On work days between jobs or if the day concludes early, you'll be required to assist with canvassing.  In your first year you will be considered seasonal/part-time but as demand continues and we become more reliant on your outstanding services you'll be eligible for full-time and may work full-time hours right out of the gate.We hope you've found this information helpful and inspiring.
