As a Mechanical Design Engineer - CPE, your responsibilities may include some of the following:
• Perform Engineering and lead other engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for Launch Pad Equipment.
• Participate in issue resolution and develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure.
• Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities.
• Generate and release drawings using CAD software.
• Be a member of multiple integrated product teams, reciprocally interacting with other engineers, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, and customers.
• Represent the organization in design reviews, readiness reviews, and review boards.
• Provide technical oversight for the production, test, and emplacement of hardware across the country and in customer facilities.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical modeling or analysis tools, such as Solidworks/CREO, Nastran, or Thermal Desktop
• Extensive experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling and drafting with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Prior experience working on a missile program or launch vehicle program
• Experience with the design and/or development of launch support equipment for launch vehicles (or equivalent)
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US citizenship is required

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Craig Technologies facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Craig Technologies supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
