Lead Installer Trainee

- Job Description

1. Installation of equipment
A. Work on a crew with two other individuals to:
a. Unload material from delivering truck
b. Unpack and inventory materials
c. Layout on the floor the location of the equipment
d. Install/build equipment as per the manufacturer’s guidelines/instructions
e. Each day leave work area as neat or neater than it was found

2. Learn how to:
A. Communicate with the office staff to understand scope of work
B. Visualize what is coming next so we have what is needed to keep the project moving forward
C. Meet with customer and or Cranston company representative on-site on the first day of installation to review the scope of work
D. Proactively ensure all work is completed in a safe manner and all regulations are adhered to

F. Review completed project with the customer

2. Miscellaneous – Responsibilities
A. Arrive promptly at worksite
B. Maintain professional appearance
C. Maintain safe work habits following company’s safety policies at all times
D. Complete installation with an eye for details, fit, touchup, and final appearance

3. Required Skills

A. Ability to use a wide variety of hand tools
B. Ability to lift heavy objects on a repetitive basis
C. Forklift operation
D. Scissor lift operation
E. Ability to climb ladders and work from heights in lifts without fear
F. Learner with a humble attitude
a. Asks questions to learn how and why
b. Ability to receive instructions, follow them, then the next day come back and follow the same instructions, asking questions as needed
c. Willing to follow our approach and process of installation

4. Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

A. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate material, tools, or controls.
B. The employee is constantly required to reach with hands and arms.
C. The employee must be able to read, see, hear, and speak.
D. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
E. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
F. The employee is constantly required to stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
G. The employee is required to regularly climb step ladders, scaffolds, and on and off of motorized and stationary equipment.
H. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
I. The employee must have the ability to perform precision work requiring manual dexterity throughout the entire shift.

5. Travel
A. Daily drive to various job sites within 75-minute drive of Pittsburgh
B. Work jobs out of town in tri-state area a few to a half dozen times a year
C. Several times a year work nights and or weekends

6. Product Installations
A. Interior modular buildings and walls
B. Assembly tables/workbenches
C. Ceiling/wall mounted curtains and strip doors
D. Safety fencing and cages
E. Handrails and guard rails
F. Pallet, cantilever, drive-in, and push-back racks
G. Steel, wire, and rivet shelving
H. Mezzanines

7. Experience
A. Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience installing and assembling equipment or related construction experience
