Job Summary:

Creative Behavior Interventions, Inc., APPC (CBI) is searching for a highly motivated individual to work full-time, in-person to serve as the Human Resource (HR) Generalist. The HR Generalist will run the daily functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing staff, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, leave, assisting with training, and enforcing company policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.

· May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Duties / Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration: Oversee and manage the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions. Maintain payroll records and resolve any payroll-related issues.

Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and issues, fostering a workplace environment that is fair, equitable, and inclusive.

· Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.

· Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

· Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

· Coordinates new employee on-boarding, orientation, and employee recognition programs.

· Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

· Maintain employee personnel records.

· Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.

· Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

· Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.

Performance Management: Facilitate performance evaluation processes and support managers in performance improvement initiatives.

· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

Training Development: Coordinate training programs that enhance professional growth and skill development.

· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

HR Compliance:  Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. Update HR policies and procedures as needed.

· Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

· Maintains knowledge of best trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.

HR Reporting:  Analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making and report key findings to management.

· Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Proficient in Adobe Suite

· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

Education / Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred)

· At least two (2) years of human resource management experience preferred.

· PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification a plus

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Lifting supplies, office equipment, and etc. from the floor to overhead. 

· Climb up to shelving utilizing step ladder.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· 7-hour shift
