In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be directly responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, health savings accounts, and 401(k) plan. You will report directly to the HR Manager.

Responsibilities
Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information
- Administers employee health savings accounts
- Assists with new-hire orientations
- Performs quality checks of benefits-related data
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility
- Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries
- Assists employees on leave-of-absence with disability paperwork, short- & long-term claims: medical, personal, disability and FMLA
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment
- Assists with the open enrollment process
- Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges
- Assists in administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
- Assist in benefit administration including, enrollment for new employee’s as well as changes and terminations
- Assists in ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to, benefits, and leaves of absence
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars as assigned
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Two years’ experience in HR and/or benefits administration
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Computer knowledge with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Diplomacy
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good problem-solving skills
