Company Description

Our music studio, located in La Verne, CA, provides students of all ages with high-quality music education. We offer one-on-one private lessons both in-person and online, group classes for infants through four-year-olds, bi-annual recitals, and additional group classes and workshops.

Role Description

We are seeking an On-Call Substitute Music Teacher for our on-site location in La Verne, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional (and fun!) music instruction to students of all ages and skill levels in both individual and group settings. In addition to teaching technique and fundamentals, you will craft tailored lesson plans and perform a some administrative tasks such as tracking attendance and progress.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 years of experience teaching music
  • Knowledge of music theory and history, as well as proficiency in at least one instrument
  • Ability to tailor lesson plans to individual student needs and learning styles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to both encourage students and provide constructive feedback
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and track student progress
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with manager and administrative staff to provide the best possible experience for our students
  • Availability to teach on an as-needed basis, Monday through Saturday

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 15 per week
