Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Operations Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional customer service, patient experiences, and dental treatments. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of related work experience, with operational management knowledge of medical/dental offices. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or technical school is desirable, along with prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, business, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the dental office and staff, ensuring adherence to operational protocols and standards set by the company.
- Develop and implement systems and protocols to optimize team performance, patient satisfaction, and financial growth.
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to team members, promoting learning and professional development.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), utilizing data-driven decision-making to drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate financial acumen by understanding profit drivers, managing metrics, and staying informed about local market drivers and competition.
- Act as an influencer within the team, building trust, tailoring coaching styles to individual needs, and recognizing and celebrating improvement.
- Utilize knowledge of dental plans, fees, administrative guidelines, and business principles to effectively manage operations.
- Utilize software applications such as GMAIL, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Word, Excel, and other standard office equipment to facilitate efficient operations.
- Exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills to make timely and accurate decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively and present information both verbally and in writing, demonstrating strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or technical school (desirable) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of related work experience, with operational management knowledge of medical/dental offices.
- Proficiency in GMAIL, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Word, Excel, and other software applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team, prioritize duties, coach, mentor, train, and handle employee relations issues.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial acumen, including the ability to interpret and analyze financial reports and apply basic mathematical concepts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and contribute to the success of the organization.
Work Environment:
- This is a primarily sedentary office classification, although occasional travel to cover sister offices may be required.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate, with occasional exposure to irate patients or staff.
- Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, reaching, lifting/carrying items weighing less than 40 pounds, stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching.
