Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, managing financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards.
• Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of accounts, accruals, and journal entries. Provide accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and make recommendations for cost control.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and accounts.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Audit and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and financial best practices.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making, cost optimization, and revenue enhancement.
• Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement process improvements and best practices in financial operations.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings.
• Supervision: Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, with a focus on progressively responsible roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
