Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the Company and Opportunity :

  • CFS is working with a family-owned company to identify an Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialist!
  • The Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialist will work alongside two other staff members in the accounting department.
  • Casual dress environment with a relaxed working atmosphere!

Responsibilities of the Collections / Accounts Receivable role :

  • Contact customers via phone and email to follow up on overdue accounts and create payment plans
  • Open new customer accounts
  • Create postings and billings to accounts
  • Process and enter payments, apply cash payments
  • Create aging reports and balance sheets
  • Respond to customer account inquiries, reconcile discrepancies

Preferred Qualifications for the Collections / Accounts Receivable role :

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Prior experience in Collections or Accounts Receivable will be highly valued
  • Advanced Excel skills - pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
