Overview of the Controller role:
- Responsible for Financial Reporting
- Manage 1-2 staff accountants
- Assist other department heads in reading and understanding financials
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards
Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Public Accounting experience is a must
- NFP experience preferred
- Experience with an array of accounting systems
