Primary Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the month-end financial closing activities, including the pre-closing checklist for the San Jose site with Manufacturing, R&D, and SG&A activities
- Prepare, analyze, and summarize financial results to help management fully understand the drivers of financial performance
- Extract a wide range of data from SAP and use Excel to convert data into useful information for analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with the business unit teams to increase transparency of actual vs. forecast spending as well as on the project level
- Support the project management organization with project status reporting and project maintenance in SAP
- Act as an interface between the accounting department and operational staff for all financial topics
- Ensure that all data delivered is accurate and thoroughly analyzed before sending it to Corporate
- Support in establishing full monthly closings in accordance with US local GAAP and IFRS requirements
- Strive for continual improvement of all finance processes in order to get faster and more accurate information for the business unit teams
- Support important projects, such as improving transparency, accuracy, and speed of information management and replacing spreadsheet-based tools with fully integrated ERP-based processes
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management of Information Systems
- 1-2 years of working experience in Accounting or Finance
- Self-motivated, strong results, and quality orientation with the ability to adhere to tight timeframes
- Hands-on knowledge of accounting and reporting systems (SAP)-REQUIRED
- Advanced Excel
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
- Good communication skills
- Ability to understand the organization’s goals and how efficiencies can be gained through processes and automation business
- Customer-oriented with a collaborative, can-do, and proactive mindset
