Materials and Application Analyst

Creative Foam’s Corporate Materials Lab office in Fenton, MI has an outstanding opportunity for a Materials and Application Analyst.
Principal Accountabilities:
· Health Care materials and application experience.
· Recommend specific fabric, foams, adhesives, fibers, polymers and related materials to meet customer-defined specifications specific to health care and other non-transportation customers.
· Facilitates plant trial runs of development material working with production, process engineering to evaluate materials in all related processes.
· Prepare test plans, quote and contract third party test labs where necessary and coordinate with internal lab to initiate testing.
· Provides support to sales staff and direct to customer technical employees as well as direct to supplier technical employees.
· Prepares brief summary reports or material comparisons and other technical documentation.
· Maintains in One Note material design rules specific to health care materials and applications. Builds and maintains a library of TDS, Materials and process parameters.
· Fields technical questions from sales, purchasing and other internal and external customers.
Reporting relationships:
Incumbent reports to Materials Specialist / Corporate Lab Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field or equivalent education and experience. Experience in Health Care Manufacturing, product validation process and testing. Experience with materials for patient skin contact. Computer knowledge and good mathematical skills.
