General Responsibilities:
· Demonstrates and practices the core values set forth at CLC
· Establishes and maintains positive employee relations including resolving safety issues
· Provides advice and coaching at various levels
· Stays up to date on all applicable regulatory issues and serves as a legal compliance resource
· Maintains accurate files and records and database systems.
· Administers and interprets company departmental policies and procedures
· Understands systems and processes within Creative Liquid Coatings, Inc. with focus on continuous improvement
· Frequent use of Outlook, Microsoft Office and other applicable systems
· Participates in problem-solving teams and committees
· Assists with reward/recognition programs and events
· Serves as resource for 5S activities and plant OPEX room
· Facilitates teams focused on EHS Improvements
Safety & Environmental
· Conducts investigations as needed with appropriate manager and follows up on corrective action
· Coordinates new employee safety orientation Coordinates Contractor Safety Training
· Serves as an internal trainer on EHS training requirements
· Possesses working knowledge of workers compensation laws
· Maintains accurate health and safety records and participates in safety initiatives
· Assists in communication within business unit(s) including participating in monthly EHS meetings
· Assists with Light, Noise, and Air testing as needed
· Maintains SDS system, updates as required
· Assists in EHS tasks, EMS projects and other activities applicable to Environmental, Health & Safety
· Assists to improve workplace safety
· Facility waste champion
· Maintains certifications and/or permits ( ie. Air, Waste, Storm Water, Hazardous Waste)
· Conducts audits
Minimum Education, Experience and Core Competency Requirements:
· High school diploma/GED
· Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations and laws
· OSHA 30 certified or obtain within first 6 months of employment
· Analytical and problem solving skills
· Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
· Ability to work with above referenced computer systems
· Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
· Interpersonal and communication skills that provide efficient and effective interactions with all levels of the organization
