Outcomes and Activities: You will be measured on your ability to effectively perform the following activities:
- This position will work from home; occasional planned travel to an assigned Southfield, Michigan office location may be required. However, this position is permitted to work at a Southfield, Michigan office location if requested by the team member.
- Efficiently Development Documents: Become a subject matter expert in your assigned areas of the business, and provide valuable feedback and guidance in developing policies, process guidelines and job aids in those areas. Ensure that all documents developed by you are accurate, current, clear, concise, compliant, and consistent. Support other areas of the business you are not directly assigned to with document development as the need arises.
- Timely Publish Documents: Work with business leaders and stakeholders to set clear expectations and deadlines for document development milestones. Timely deliver new and/or amended policies, process guidelines and job aids
- Document Library and Submission Tool: Assist with the administration of the Company's Document Library and Document Submission Tool to ensure team members have access to documents necessary for them to do their job
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to independently engage senior leaders in a confident and professional manner
- Ability to quickly learn and become a subject matter expert in new systems/processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and act on information promptly and effectively
- Organized and capable of meeting deadlines
- Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision
Requirements: To qualify as a candidate for this position you will need the following:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism. Applicants that do not have the stated education requirements, but present with 4 years of actual experience as a technical writer or a related field will be considered for this position
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Professional
- Attendance as required by department
Preferred:
- Experience in a Communications or Technical Writing role (Corporate Communications, technical writer, publication editor, newsletter, etc.)
Targeted Compensation: $27.14/hr with an annual performance bonus plan.
This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
