Reports to: Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Salesforce Administration
Position Summary: The Data Administration and Technology Specialist will assist the Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Salesforce Administration with tasks including but not limited to being CBA’s main point of contact for creating surveys/forms for data collection purposes, maintaining and auditing CBA’s Salesforce database, providing Salesforce support to CBA staff, and supporting staff with research and administrative needs.
Essential Duties:
Technology Administration (45%):
- Be the main point of contact to support CBA staff in creating forms and surveys using FormAssembly (survey tool).
- Stay up to date with all FormAssembly feature updates by attending webinars and online conferences, being active in the FormAssembly slack workspace.
- Create and maintain connections between FormAssembly and Salesforce to collect response data in Salesforce.
- Create and maintain documentation for business processes that involve FormAssembly and how to handle any errors.
- Update and maintain CBA Members Map using ArcGIS.
Salesforce Database Administration (35%):
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, merging duplicate records when necessary, running monthly audits, using dataloader to create and update records, and removing unnecessary fields from database.
- Stay up to date with all new Salesforce feature releases by attending all webinars, online conferences, completing trailhead modules, and joining relevant Trailblazer communities.
- Support the creation and management of Salesforce processes documentation.
- Generating and maintaining reports and dashboards for CBA staff.
- Help build automations with Salesforce Flow and troubleshoot automations when there are errors.
Data Analysis (10%)
- Provide support to Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Salesforce Administration in data projects as they come up.
- Support CBA staff with any research or data collection and cleaning tasks.
- Use ArcGIS to create maps and dashboards to join CBA data and other data sources.
Other Responsibilities (10%)
- Assist CBA staff with pre-symposium activities and logistics such as help updating our event management platform.
- Assist Tech & Operations team with any ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications and Essential Skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience utilizing Excel for data analysis and using more advanced tools like formulas, VLOOKUP, text-to-columns, and pivot tables.
- Good attention to detail; data must be accurate.
- Communication skills: Not afraid to ask questions when something isn’t understood.
- A Learner’s Mindset: use tools such as forums, webinars, google, YouTube, to help in solving problems, complete Salesforce trailhead modules to new learn new skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with any coding languages such JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
- Experience with Tableau, SQL.
- Experience with any form creation tools like SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, FormAssembly, Qualtrics, etc.
- Experience with Salesforce or any other CRM.
- Classwork with statistics, regression analysis, social science/economic research, survey design or ArcGIS.
Location: CBA is headquartered in Washington, DC, but has remote staff located across the country including in Florida, Colorado, Illinois, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. We are currently accepting applications from all candidates within the U.S.
