Position SummaryThe New Accounts Manager is responsible for management and administration of the bank’s various digital deposit account products & non-brokered CDs, both new and existing accounts, as well as policies and procedures relevant to:• Account relationship due diligence - to include a thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable new account rules and regulations.• New account assessment – ensuring the number and quality of accepted accounts meets the bank’s internal standards and best practices.• New account documentation – ensuring timely, adequate, and regulatory compliant receipt, tracking, and maintenance of customer documentation.• New account general ledger transaction posting and balancing.• Supervising new account team members.Summary of Essential Job Functions • Administration of the bank’s various digital deposit account products & non- brokered CDs, both new and existing accounts:• Ensuring regulatory compliance with respect to deposit product regulations and requirements including:• Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)• USA Patriot Act and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements including Customer Identification Program (CIP)• Know Your Customer (KYC)• Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements• Development, revision, and maintenance of new accounts policies and procedures.• New account assessment – ensuring the number and quality of accepted accounts meets internal bank standards and external best practices.• Thorough familiarity with corporate and other business account structures to ensure timely, adequate, and regulatory compliant receipt and approval of consumer and commercial business account documentation.• Preparation and delivery of internal and external audit request documentation.• Review & approve consumer accounts received through digital banking.• Daily on-line certificate of deposit transactions to include:• CD issuance and redemption – accurate, timely and appropriate wire / ACH transaction execution, with corresponding general ledger and system maintenance entries.• CD renewals – renewals with appropriate and corresponding documentation and system maintenance entries.• Monthly CD interest payment transactions - issuance, documentation, monitoring and interest register reconciliation.• CD portfolio review, monitoring, and application maintenance.• Daily posting, reconciliation and verification of all certificate-related transactions to the general ledger and to cash.• Responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.• Research and resolution of interest payment or other exception item issues. Position Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.• At least three years of hands-on experience in a digital bank environment or retail bank environment.• Fundamental knowledge of banking regulations.• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.• Strong organization skills.• Excellent written and verbal communicator with analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.• Competent with Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Preferred • Experience working in a corporate new accounts’ environment with thorough knowledge of business documentation and deposit regulatory compliancy requirements.
