Your field of responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become Head of Employee Engagement for the Investment Bank (IB) division of Credit Suisse, partnering with IB business heads to help drive the strategic goals of the division, and taking responsibility for all internal communication matters. You will manage one full-time employee. Provide strategic business communications counsel and support for our IB division, demonstrating internal communications and employee engagement initiatives in alignment with the strategy from a business and cultural perspective

Key responsibilities:

  • Draft / edit internal communications and intranet features from senior leaders about key business initiatives, organizational updates, awards, culture initiatives, quarterly earnings etc.
  • Work closely with key partners to develop and deliver critical communications plans for the division, defining the calendar of activities, cadence and delivery channels
  • You will collaborate across divisional and functional lines to implement global and regional campaigns and employee experiences
  • A typical day could see you creating engaging communications for the Credit Suisse intranet on key business developments, drafting communications from senior leaders, working with the IB Culture team to deliver campaigns, coordinating a town hall or speaker series event, advising members of the IB Management Committee on critical communications or managing internal communications for our business functions and divisions – using the appropriate tone of voice, ensuring consistency of messaging and reflecting our strategy, business priorities and cultural values
  • You will be agile in your approach and understand that while the position partners with IB, the role and scope may evolve in order to meet business requirements. Experience in agile resourcing and methodology would be an advantage

Your initial responsibilities include:

Your skills and experience


The candidate must have extensive experience in internal communications, employee engagement and change management. Confidence and gravitas to motivate at all levels, including senior management. Experience coordinating with senior leadership teams and evidence exemplary partner management skills, building critical communications, engagement and change plans, translating them into action. Along with this a candidate who possess the following:

  • An equivalent experience of 5-7 years of employee engagement/internal communication.
  • Demonstrated ability of 3-5 years within financial services/banking industry
  • Ability to work effectively under timelines and short lead times
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure given the fast-paced and ever-evolving nature of the business
  • An understanding of the Investment Bank structure and business areas
  • Proficient in english language writing skills and an eye for detail
  • Experience working within culturally diverse workforces and can evidence an appreciation of and a solid understanding of managing change
  • Passion for helping colleagues develop and unlocking their full potential
  • Financial services and team management experience (preferred)
  • Be a seasoned internal communications and employee engagement professional with line management experience
  • Evidence being efficient working in complex internal corporate environments
  • Be a compassionate leader and a structured problem solver and operator, comfortable working with complexity and agility
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value varied perspectives
