Position Summary:

Direct the operations of the Credit Union Association of New Mexico's CU Services, LLC (CU Services) for the benefit of member credit unions and revenue generation through cooperative leadership and management, and in alignment with the Association and CU Services' strategic goals. Maximize the value and relevance of the Association to members and partners by delivering best-in-market service, collaboration, partner solutions, youth programs, and education opportunities. Prepare, direct and execute annual budgets, sales and marketing plans for all CU Services partnerships, business lines, and education. Lead all aspects of CU Services partnerships, business lines, and education.

Assist with the execution of major goals and objectives for the Credit Union Foundation of New Mexico in accordance with strategic initiatives and Foundation Board defined strategic pillars of scholarship programs, collaborative support, and community support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Business Partnership Management, Collaboration, and Revenue Growth
    1. Create and manage the annual budget for all partnerships.
    2. Manage existing business partner relationships, delivering products and services to respond to members' needs and meet revenue targets.
    3. Identify and recruit new partners with new revenue-generating relationships that fit the business model, demographics, and membership needs.
    4. Implement all aspects of annual sales and marketing plans for products and services per agreed-upon arrangements.
    5. Lead and facilitate collaboration among credit unions, including Chapters, Huddles, and other credit union system organizations (Global Women's).
    6. Develop plans, train appropriate staff, and monitor sales to assure that annual budget and strategic benchmarks are met.
    7. Consult with credit unions to ensure value and competitiveness, negotiate business partner contracts, and collaborate on new initiatives.
    8. Receive direction from and report to the Association Board regarding all partnership and collaborative activity.
  2. Business Line Management and Revenue Growth
    1. Create and manage the annual budget for all CU Services business lines.
    2. Manage business lines to respond to members' needs and meet revenue targets - youth programs and education.
    3. Lead all aspects of the youth programs for growth and to meet budget expectations.
    4. Youth program oversight, including direction to and management of staff, maintenance of credit union relationships, new business development, and new youth financial wellness program development.
    5. Lead all aspects of Association training and education, and Foundation education program (Exploring the Why), with a collaborative approach of the event planning team, including being the Education Committee's staff liaison.
    6. Manage CUANM Annual Meeting and ICUCCC, including event planning team, agenda development, exhibit hall booth development, sponsors/ partnerships, onsite event execution, and meet budget expectations.
    7. Consult with credit unions to ensure value, competitiveness, and that programs meet credit union needs.
  3. Foundation Development
    1. Assist with Credit Union Foundation of New Mexico activities, which may include general correspondence and regular communication with credit union professionals, contributors, grant recipients, corporate sponsors, and financial education service providers.
    2. Help identify, cultivate, and solicit support from or collaboration with donor prospects and recipients to meet foundation goals.

  • The ability to quickly comprehend new information/situations, to understand instructions, and to produce expected results.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills to the extent to which the employee can develop, generate, and convey ideas clearly and concisely in oral and written form to current and future clients, partners, and co-collaborators.
  • Proven negotiation and excellent judgement skills.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills with experience in long- and short-term strategic planning and anticipating critical obstacles and issues.
  • Proven project and budget management skills, and strong public speaking skills.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Senior/Executive Sales Management position.

Requirements:

  • Ability to use Microsoft suite of products.
  • Ability to strategize with C-Level executives as it relates to business model.
  • Ability to energize and manage direct reports, as well as the organization.
  • Track, analyze, and monitor performance metrics.
  • Identify new areas of opportunity and create plans for implementation, as well as wind down opportunities that no longer support the organization or its members.
  • Take initiative in thought leadership, innovation, creativity and implementation of initiatives.
  • Own all requirements of the program management as it relates to software development.
  • Travel to onsite meetings, industry conferences, and company meetings.
  • Manage necessary vendor resources, licenses, and related expenses.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10 years of experience
  • Exceptional project management and organization skills
  • Strong leadership skill with the ability to bring highly intelligent and strong personalities to the table working in a cohesive team minded environment
  • Represent the Association, CU Services, and Foundation in a professional manner
